About the Role
As Care Home Deputy Manager & Clinical Lead at a Barchester care home, you’ll support the delivery of the high-quality care we’re renowned for. Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll take on leadership responsibilities in their absence, overseeing everything from maintaining care standards to motivating your team.
Your role will involve inspiring a multidisciplinary team to ensure every resident experiences the best possible quality of life. This means:
- Setting the standard by leading by example
- Monitoring standards through regular audits
- Supervising clinical practice
- Ensuring regulatory compliance
- Developing and delivering strategies to achieve organisational goals

About You
To excel in this position, you’ll need:
- A Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) qualification, with current NMC registration
- A teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification
- Experience in managing residents with diverse health needs
- A proven track record of:
- Handling safeguarding investigations
- Conducting clinical risk assessments
- Supporting HR responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of sales and marketing
- An understanding of budget management
- Experience in preceptorship for newly qualified nurses
- Compassion, resilience, and dedication to delivering high-quality care
