Salary: Leadership L16 - L20 (£75,049 - £82,654)
At Highfield Littleport Academy, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to flourish, whatever their starting point. We are seeking an exceptional Deputy Headteacher to help lead our specialist SEND school through its next stage of development, working alongside the Headteacher to deliver outstanding provision for pupils aged 2-19. This is an opportunity to shape an ambitious and personalised curriculum, champion high-quality teaching and learning, and strengthen a culture of collaboration, growth and continuous improvement. We are looking for a leader who combines strategic vision with warmth, resilience and professional generosity, someone who can develop others, build strong relationships and help ensure every pupil is prepared for a successful and meaningful future.
Summary Of Key Responsibilities
- Support the Headteacher in providing strategic leadership and driving the academy's improvement priorities.
- Lead and develop staff, promoting high standards, professional growth and effective performance.
- Monitor and improve the quality of teaching, learning, assessment and pupil outcomes across the academy.
- Help deliver an ambitious, inclusive curriculum that meets pupils' SEND and EHCP needs.
- Take responsibility for safeguarding leadership and deputise for the Headteacher when required.

Probation Period
To ensure we recruit and retain the best talent, all new employees recruited to the Active Learning Trust (leadership, teaching and support staff) will be subject to a 6 months' probation period at the start of their employment. This policy aims to assess new employees' alignment with our culture, teaching standards, and student needs.
