Who are Fair Ways and what do we stand for?

Fair Ways is a great place to work. We are a team. We care about each other and are all committed to making a change to the lives of the young people and service users in our care. We will not apologise for calling our staff great, the best, or world-class. Our staff are at the core of our organisation and we celebrate them by shouting it from the rooftops!

Where and when do we need you?

We are looking for a Deputy Head Teacher to be based at our Eastleigh campus to work as part of our fantastic team at our specialist Autism School, accommodating 40 young people across 2 sites, located in Totton and Eastleigh. We strongly believe in creating a person-centred programme to meet each young person’s needs adapting a unique ‘autistic curriculum’. This not only captures the students learning needs but also addresses social, emotional and communication needs of young people with autism and nurtures their independence and well-being. Students are placed with Fair Ways when most other mainstream or specialist schools have been unsuccessful. As such, they are likely to have been out of education for a long period of time, having exhausted multiple placements.

This is to ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the students and staff within our education provision remains paramount at all times.
  • Being a Trauma Informed professional: Using our industry recognised RiiSE training to deliver trauma informed responses through the individualised use of therapeutic and, where appropriate, physical intervention to ensure our children are supported appropriately during times of crisis.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
