About The Role
As a Deputy Home Manager, you’ll ensure our clinical care not only meets but exceeds professional, statutory, regulatory, and legal standards. This involves:
- Providing specialist nursing support and expert advice
- Taking full responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence
- Supervising and coaching colleagues to deliver exceptional, person-centred care with genuine empathy
Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid NMC Pin
- Comprehensive knowledge of National Standards and the NMC Code of Practice
- Experience in person-centred care planning within a care home environment
- Ability to model our ethics first: kindness above all
- Essential skills include:
- Effective mentoring of colleagues
- Strong time management and record-keeping
- High emotional intelligence for compassionate interaction with residents and staff
Critical: Safeguarding Responsibilities
All colleagues must proactively:
- Recognise signs of abuse, harm, or neglect in any form
- Attend role-appropriate safeguarding training and complementary modules
- Follow protocols for reporting concerns, including escalation if warranted
