About The Role

As a Deputy Home Manager, you’ll ensure our clinical care not only meets but exceeds professional, statutory, regulatory, and legal standards. This involves:

  • Providing specialist nursing support and expert advice
  • Taking full responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence
  • Supervising and coaching colleagues to deliver exceptional, person-centred care with genuine empathy

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Valid NMC Pin
  • Comprehensive knowledge of National Standards and the NMC Code of Practice
  • Experience in person-centred care planning within a care home environment
  • Ability to model our ethics first: kindness above all
  • Essential skills include:
    • Effective mentoring of colleagues
    • Strong time management and record-keeping
    • High emotional intelligence for compassionate interaction with residents and staff

Critical: Safeguarding Responsibilities

All colleagues must proactively:

  • Recognise signs of abuse, harm, or neglect in any form
  • Attend role-appropriate safeguarding training and complementary modules
  • Follow protocols for reporting concerns, including escalation if warranted
