Deputy Manager – Children’s Home (March)

At Aspris, our Children’s Home March M cares for young people aged 11–18 with emotional and behavioural needs—4 young people in a large, nurturing home rated as Outstanding by Ofsted. Join us as a Deputy Manager to support this team and drive positive change in their lives.
About The Role
We’re seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated Deputy Manager to become part of our dedicated residential childcare team. In this key role, you’ll:
- Provide compassionate support to young people with complex needs
- Oversee a small staff team, ensuring care is consistent and effective
- Promote independence, self-care and community integration for the young people we support

Core Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
- Support & Mentorship: Lead a team of staff with excellent line management while maintaining high standards of care.
- Care Coordination: Ensure care plans for our young people are effectively implemented, with activities and hobbies tailored to their needs (social, emotional, developmental).
- Shift Management: Create and oversee rota patterns to cover all shifts and provide consistent supervision.
- Collaboration & Reporting: Share key updates with senior staff, prioritising clear communication to protect child welfare.
- Continual Improvement: Engage in ongoing training to pursue a Level 5 Diploma in Children & Young People, ensuring skill progression.

Essential Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- **A Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People (or equivalent) is essential.
- Proven experience working in residential care (essential qualification or practical experience recommended).
- Strong ability to study towards the Level 5 Diploma once in role.
