The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to support the day-to-day running of our domiciliary care service. You'll play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained while supporting both our clients and care team.
This is a varied and rewarding position combining leadership, quality assurance, staff development, client support, and operational management.
Your Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day management of the service.
- Ensure compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards and promote continuous service improvement.
- Produce and manage weekly staff rotas when required.
- Build positive relationships with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.
- Respond professionally to telephone enquiries from clients and staff.
- Support person-centred care planning and ensure care is delivered to the highest standard.
- Maintain accurate client and staff records.
- Assist with recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding new team members.
- Support inductions, shadow shifts, and the Care Certificate programme.
- Carry out supervisions, competency assessments, observations, and mentoring.
- Conduct client assessments and support business growth.
- Complete quality assurance audits and contribute to service improvements.
- Participate in the management on-call rota.
- Provide hands-on care when required.
- Attend management meetings and contribute to developing the service.

About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and enjoys supporting others to succeed.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or above)
- Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle
- Experience working within domiciliary care
- Previous experience as a Senior Carer or Team Leader
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- A positive, flexible, and professional approach
- Calm under pressure with excellent problem-solving skills

- Level 3 Medication Training
- Level 3 Safeguarding
- Level 3 Mental Capacity Act (MCA) Training (or willingness to work towards)
