Deputy Manager
Deputy Manager – Non-Clinical
Location: Elmstead Care Home, 104 Elmstead Lane, Chislehurst BR7 5EL
Salary: £36,000–£40,000 (dependent on experience) Contract: Permanent, 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday) Requirements: Occasional night visits or weekend work may be necessary
About the Role
At Bupa, we support people when they need it most, delivering person-centred care to help residents live their best lives. In this Deputy Manager (Non-Clinical) role, you’ll work closely with the care home team to ensure standards of excellence are met every day.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and assist with all aspects of nursing care/activities within the care home
- Work with your team to create and update individual care plans and maintain accurate medication records
- Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained through effective rota management
- Provide daily support, guidance, and mentorship to the nursing team while promoting residents’ independence, choice, and dignity
- Develop lasting relationships with residents, their families, and carers while fostering a community-focused environment
- Act as a liaison with local partners, enhancing the care home’s reputation in the local area

Person Specification
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience working in a care home environment, with a commitment to CQC standards
- Champions independence, choice, and dignity in care
- Is an effective communicator, able to build trusting relationships with residents and their families
- Demonstrates leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to delegate and deliver excellent service
- Excels in time management and prioritising workloads
- Is a respectful, compassionate team player
