Deputy Manager

Deputy Manager – Residential Care & Support

Salary: Up to £35,000 (based on experience)


Role & Service Overview

  • Position: Deputy Manager, Essential Care and Support (part of National Care Group)
  • Location: Hartlepool
  • Service: Abbeyvale Care Centre – A residential care setting supporting older adults with:
    • Physical disabilities
    • Dementia diagnosis
    • Mental health needs
    • Symptoms of old age

The Deputy Manager Role

A hands-on leadership position where your presence and guidance drive excellence:

Responsibilities

  • Team Development & Mentoring:
    • Coache and mentor staff to enhance skills and team cohesion.
  • Service Delivery:
    • Oversee smooth, safe, and high-standard care operations.
  • Advocacy & Empowerment:
    • Champion individual autonomy, ensuring each person’s preferences and aspirations are met.
  • Policy & Compliance:
    • Uphold corporate values, regulatory standards, and care policies.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is: ✔ Experienced in learning disabilities, mental health, or complex needs (substantive background required). ✔ Qualified with a Level 5 (or equivalent) qualification in Health & Social Care (or relevant life experience). ✔ Proven leader – reliable, authoritative, and confident in instructional roles. ✔ A natural people-person with coaching and empathy strengths.

Most importantly – you care. Not just about tasks, but about the people you support. Deeply.
