Are you proactive, professional, and passionate about exceptional care? As Deputy Manager at Friends of the Elderly (FotE), you will collaborate with the Registered Manager to deliver exceptional physical and person-centred care in our residential care setting (Redcot, Haslemere)—a tranquil, National Trust-adjacent oasis in Surrey.

Our Vision for Positive, Caring Leadership

In this dynamic role, your impact will create measurable improvements in:

  • Oversee and enhance resident health and safety, using effective risk assessments and systems-led reviews (e.g., electronic care plans).
  • Advise on and help manage the annual service budget through cost-effective decision-making.
  • Establish and maintain regulatory links with internal leadership, external professionals, and residents/families.
  • Champion safeguarding: adhere to FotE’s Policy & Procedures, report concerns immediately and transparently, and conduct audits/improvements where needed.
  • Act as a visible role model for the care team—core values include supporting staff in upholding standards of care and ethics.
  • Maintain welcoming communal environments and person-centred routines.
  • Design and implement rotas and staff training, investing in continuous professional development.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
