Deputy Manager – Retail (Halfords)
At Halfords, you’ll play a crucial role as a Deputy Manager, ensuring seamless store operations when the Store Manager is unavailable. We uphold our core values by delivering exceptional customer service in a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example to cultivate a customer-centric workplace culture.
- Drive sales performance while maintaining high service standards.
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety and retail standards.
- Schedule, manage, and optimise store labour.
- Provide on-the-spot coaching to improve team performance and enhance the customer experience.
- Recognise and celebrate team achievements, fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere.

What We’re Looking For
- A year of managerial experience in a retail sales environment.
- Strong track record in coaching and managing colleagues.
- Deep understanding of compliance and operational standards.
- Proven ability to meet sales targets and achieve excellent customer metrics.
- Commercial awareness with knowledge of industry trends.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with eagerness to adopt Halfords’ business systems.
