Deputy Manager - Homecare Service

Salary: Dependent upon experience
Office based - Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
Excelcare Homecare are looking for a motivated and forward-thinking Deputy Manager to join our high-quality Homecare service covering Tower Hamlets.
This role is perfect for a strong leader who is passionate about person-centred care and ready to take the next step to becoming a Registered Manager as we will offer a clear and structured development plan.
With the support of our existing and established team, you will have considerable experience and understanding of Homecare operations at management level with sound knowledge of CQC Regulations, legislation, and a passion to deliver outstanding care to our service users every day.
About The Role
Our Homecare service is currently delivering approximately 6,500 hours of care per week and as the Deputy Manager you will be responsible for overseeing governance, quality, and compliance across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- In time, act as the CQC-registered individual for the service, ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Establish strong, professional relationships with all stakeholders including service users, their families, local authority, hospitals, commissioning teams, district nurses, therapists, and GP's.
- Lead on safeguarding, incidents, complaints, and quality assurance monitoring.
- Raising, reporting, responding, and investigation of complaints, concerns, and feedback received through the correct channels in line with company policies and procedures.
- Drive a culture of safe, effective, and person-centred care across the service.
- Maintain oversight of audits, care standards, and ensure inspection readiness.
- Monitor service performance, identifying risks, and implementing improvements.
- Ensure robust governance frameworks are embedded.
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the wider management team.
- Report writing including governance and data updates.

Your Team
You will oversee a well-defined and scalable branch model, including:
- An established Management team.
- A team of branch-based Care Coordinators handling scheduling and capacity, carer availability management, and package amendments.
- Community Care Coordinators responsible for consultations, spot checks, supervisions & appraisals, and competency checks.
- Branch administrative support to manage all administration and compliance processes.

About You
- Proven experience at Management level within Homecare
- Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
- Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, inspections, and quality frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and services at scale
- Confident in managing safeguarding, investigations, and complaints
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence and develop teams
- Commercial awareness and understanding of service growth and sustainability
