Job Role: Deputy Manager

Full time, Permanent

Location: Newark, Nottinghamshire

Salary: £37,562 - £38,827 per annum (Higher end of the pay scale is following 12 months in the role)

Hourly rate: £18.06 - £18.67 per hour

You will be required to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, however, will be expected to cover shifts when needed. You will also be required to participate in the on-call for the cluster.

Newbury and Stirling house are 2 two-bedded children's homes Ofsted rated 'Good' children's residential homes in Newark, the deputy manager will be a key part of a team committed to ensuring the young people receive the support they need and deserve in a stable home.

The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the Registered Home Manager and deputise for them during absence periods. This will include all aspects of the day-to-day running of the Children’s Home ensuring and promoting the safeguarding of the young person. Experience of working with children in a residential setting is essential, we welcome Senior Support Workers or Team Leaders who are looking for the next steps in their career as well as existing deputy managers who are looking for a new role in a reputable company.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 2 years experience working with Children and Young People in a Residential setting
  • Recent experience working either as a Children's Home Deputy Manager or as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader in a Children's Home
  • Experience of working with behaviours that challenge
  • Minimum QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent (In line with Ofsted requirements)
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to completing QCF Level 5 Children, Young People and Families Manager qualification
  • Flexibility to cover shifts in line with the needs of the home
  • A full UK Driving Licence
