Operations Control Deputy Manager
The Operations Control Centre (OCC) within Jet2.com is one of the busiest areas to work within the company. It’s open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year!
This is the area of the business where the decisions made have a direct impact on our Customers, Aircraft and Colleagues. With this comes a lot of responsibility but also a lot of pride.

What you’ll be doing
- Deputise for the Operations Control Manager, supporting departmental leadership and operational decision-making.
- Support the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of Operations Control activities, including escalation management during disruption.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development support to Operations Control Duty Managers.
- Lead projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the OCC.
- Monitor operational performance, compliance, and safety standards, promoting a strong Just Culture ethos.
- Act as a key interface across the wider OCC and provide operational recommendations to senior management.
- Support onboarding, competence management, and succession planning within the team.
- Office-based (Monday to Friday) at Low Fare Finder House, Yeadon, with occasional operational shift and on-call cover.

What you’ll have
- Previous experience within an airline Operations Control / OCC environment is preferred.
- Strong operational decision-making capability under pressure.
- Experience leading, coaching, or developing operational teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, improvement-focused mindset.
- A collaborative leadership style with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
