Role Description

The Deputy Manager Quality Assurance is a full-time, on-site role based in Wolverhampton. This position supports the Quality Manager in maintaining and improving quality systems aligned with API20E, API20F, and PED requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

The Deputy Manager Quality Assurance also collaborates closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to uphold product integrity and support timely delivery of compliant components.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards relevant to fasteners and CNC machining (e.g., API20E, API20F, PED, ISO 9001).
  • Experience with inspection, testing, and documentation control in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Skills in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ability to coordinate and participate in internal and external audits, customer visits, and compliance reviews.
  • Proficiency in using quality tools and measurement equipment, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in fastener manufacturing, precision engineering, or related heavy industry is advantageous.
  • Relevant technical qualification or degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Lead Auditor Qualification
