About the Role

As Deputy Manager at The George of Harpenden, you’ll work alongside the General Manager to ensure the pub runs smoothly and successfully. You’ll leverage your experience to inspire and lead your team, creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.

We’re Castle Pubs, part of Mitchells & Butlers, and every one of our pubs has its own unique charm—distinctive, vibrant atmospheres filled with regulars who share our passion. If you’ve got a personality as bold as a pint, we’d love to hear from you!

  • Support the General Manager in the day-to-day management of the pub, using your leadership experience.
  • Train, mentor, and inspire your team to deliver exceptional food, drink, and service—ensuring guests leave satisfied.
  • Set the example and guide your team’s development.
  • Host and care for guests, ensuring they experience memorable moments they’ll cherish.
  • Meet and exceed business targets, maintaining profitability and growth.
