Job Description: Deputy Manager

Location: ##JOBLOCATION##

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (40 hours per week, alternate weekends)

Sponsorship: Not currently available

Start date: Mid October

As our Deputy Manager, you’ll play a vital role in enriching the lives of residents by:

  • Maintaining effective communications with the Home Manager.
  • As requested by, and/or in the absence of, the Home Manager, maintaining effective communications with Residents, Relatives, Staff Members, Operations Manager, Divisional Office and any other concerned bodies.
  • Obtaining a report from the Person in Charge, and advising the Home Manager, regarding any incident/accident, and the status of any Residents whose care / health is causing concern. Completing CQC & Safeguarding alerts as required.
  • Supervising visits and liaising with GPs in order to establish a good relationship between GPs / Health Care Professionals and the Care Home.
  • Ensuring a clear and concise handover report is given to all Staff Members.
  • Arranging / participating in Staff and Resident meetings as and when required.
  • Taking responsibility for Resident care, as designated by the Home Manager in his / her absence and the absence of the Deputy Home Manager.
  • Assessing social and health care needs of new Residents, and maintaining ongoing assessment and review of all other Residents.
