Description
Become an Eslander and take the next step in a truly rewarding career.
At Esland, we are passionate about changing children’s lives for the better through exceptional, specialist residential care.
We are now seeking a Deputy Manager to join our dedicated and growing team.
This is a key leadership role where you will work closely with the Registered Manager to shape the home’s culture, support and develop staff, and ensure the highest standards of care are consistently delivered. You’ll play a vital part in creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where children with EBD, trauma, and complex needs can thrive and achieve positive outcomes.
Our teams are made up of committed “professional parents” who go above and beyond every day, and our homes provide the structure, support, and warmth children need to succeed.
If you’re an experienced practitioner ready to step into leadership, or a current Deputy Manager looking for a fresh challenge, this is your opportunity to make a real and lasting difference.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
