Deputy Manager RMN or RNLD

Deputy Manager – Mental Health & Learning Disabilities (LD)/Autism

Come and help shape a brighter future with The Woodlands

Join The Woodlands, a specialist community-based service, where you’ll play a critical role in supporting six men with a learning disability and/or autism who may also face additional challenges such as unstable epilepsy, profound communication difficulties, sensory impairments, and physical health issues.

As the Deputy Manager, you will work under the Registered Manager to lead clinical and non-clinical teams, drive quality and compliance, and ensure the provision of a high-quality, bespoke care pathway for service users. This role is perfect for an experienced professional who thrives in a dynamic environment where every decision directly impacts meaningful change.

About the Role

You will be an essential part of the leadership team, ensuring the success of The Woodlands service, which supports individuals in transition from residential schools, supported living, or family environments to a structured home-like setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Registered Manager in leading the service, including clinical and non-clinical team management.
  • Act as the Clinical Lead for Quality and Compliance, ensuring adherence to statutes and regulations.
  • Deputise for the Registered Manager, including attending internal and external meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Oversee Clinical and Operational functions, managing projects, policies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • collaborate with the Registered Manager to develop and implement a high-quality, personalised care pathway.
  • Foster a positive working environment, balancing operational demands with leadership development.
  • Maintain awareness of the wider healthcare economy, political landscape, and regulatory changes that impact service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards, audit processes, and statutory regulations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
