Deputy Manager – Supported Living, Adult Services

Are you passionate about helping autistic adults and those with learning disabilities achieve their desired potential? Autism Anglia, a well-established independent charity, is looking for a Deputy Manager to join our dedicated team overseeing an area within our Supported Living.

As part of the management team, working with and deputising for the Registered Manager, this candidate will deliver an effective, integrated, and quality service which supports the staff and empowers the people we support.

£32,11.28 per annum

Hours

  • Full-time: 37 hours per week
  • Overtime available

About The Role

  • Provide strong leadership across services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and person-centred support in line with organisational values and CQC standards.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop staff teams through recruitment, induction, supervision, training, performance management, and continuous professional development.
  • Support the Registered Manager in maintaining compliance, overseeing audits, service documentation, risk assessments, safeguarding processes, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Build positive relationships with individuals, families, statutory agencies, and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for the people we support.
  • Oversee staffing resources, including rota management, training coordination, and absence management, ensuring services remain safe, effective, and cost-efficient.
  • Monitor service performance, compliance reports, incidents, and action plans, ensuring issues are addressed promptly and lessons learned are embedded into practice.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to implement care plans, behavioural strategies, and person-centred approaches that promote independence and wellbeing.
  • Provide operational leadership across services, including regular site presence, crisis response, participation in the on-call rota, and support with service development and improvement projects.

We Welcome Applications From Individuals Who

  • Hold or are working towards a Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3
  • Hold or are working towards your Management and Leadership Qualification
  • Previous experience working in the capacity of Team Leader, or Deputy Manager with people management experience
  • Offer knowledge and understanding of working with autistic people or individuals with a learning difficulty
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion, and resilience to lead, manage, support, and motivate staff
