About The Team

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced care and support professional to join our Supported Living Service as a deputy manager. This role is being advertised as a result of our services expanding.

We support a range of service users at various properties in Bath & North East East Somerset. The majority of the people we support have learning disabilities, many also have autism and/or other complex needs. We support people to maintain their tenancies and to live as independently as possible. We are a CQC registered service.

Based in Carrswood/ Connections Writhlington

About The Role

We will consider applications for 30 hours per week up to 37 hours per week for this role. Please contact us if you wish to have a discussion about the role prior to applying.

Our deputy managers work under the guidance of the registered manager and will be assigned specific properties and geographical areas where we support people to oversee. Deputies are also expected to be able to cover other areas as required in order to ensure all of our supported living provision has adequate management support in place. Our Deputy Managers Tasks Include

  • Planning of rotas
  • Supervision of staff
  • Managing sickness and absence processes
  • Leading our Supported Living Service input into care reviews
  • Support plan and risk assessment updates
  • Audits and competency checks
  • Induction of staff
  • Planning of staff training and development
  • Decision making in the absence of the registered manager
  • Participation in on-call rota
  • Onward referrals for specialist support
  • Assessment of new referrals
  • Safeguarding referrals and participation in meetings

About You

To apply you will have:

  • Care experience such as a senior support or coordinator role or equivalent skills
  • Transferable skills
  • The ability to work in a physically demanding role
  • Experience of working within CQC registered services or the ability to learn these elements quickly
  • A Level 3 diploma in Health & Social Care or a close equivalent qualification.
  • A passion for delivering quality, person centred support.
