Role Description The Deputy Manager/Clinical will support the leadership and clinical management of the nursing home, ensuring high standards of care and regulatory compliance. This full-time, on-site role in Luton involves overseeing day-to-day clinical operations, supervising nursing and care teams, and coordinating resident assessments, care planning, and reviews. The role includes monitoring quality and safety metrics, implementing improvement initiatives, and supporting staff training, mentoring, and performance feedback. The Deputy Manager/Clinical will collaborate with healthcare professionals, residents, and families, manage clinical documentation, and assist with rota planning and resource allocation as needed.

Qualifications

- Strong clinical operations and quality improvement skills, with experience overseeing care delivery and compliance.
- Background in medicine, nursing, or a related clinical field, with current professional registration where applicable.
- Experience in home care or residential nursing settings, with an understanding of person-centered and holistic care.
- Ability to design and deliver staff training, coaching, and clinical supervision to support team development.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities, capable of prioritizing multiple clinical and operational tasks.
- Knowledge of relevant health and social care regulations, safeguarding practices, and infection control standards.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Nursing or healthcare management, and prior experience in a senior or deputy clinical role.
