About the Role
As a Deputy Nursery Manager at N Family Club you will:
- Guide and lead an exceptional team of early-years educators
- Deliver outstanding education and customer service
- Drive continuous improvement while supporting the Nursery Manager
Your responsibility is to foster a positive, innovative, and thriving environment that aligns with our pedagogical vision, safeguarding policies, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for both children and staff
- Ensure the elementary team follows our N Pedagogy and Curriculum
- Champion safeguarding and wellbeing, including acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead when required
- Oversee health and safety, risk assessments, and EYFS compliance
- Coach and mentor the team through regular feedback and professional development
- Support with staffing (interviews, rotas), operations, and assisting in rooms as needed
- Champion continuous improvement, keeping practice fresh, creative, and outstanding
- Embrace flexibility, positivity, and passion, contributing daily to N Family’s success

Requirements
To join our team of early-years champions, you must have:
- Previous experience in a leadership position in early education (ideally as a Deputy Manager, Third in Charge, or Nursery Manager)
- Proven ability in hiring and retaining team members
- Deep knowledge of UK regulatory requirements and inspections
- Basic experience managing budgets, rotations, personnel, and reporting
- Exceptional customer service track record
- Full and valid Level 3 Early Years qualification (or higher)
- Paediatric First Aid (12-hour course) plus First Aid at Work certification
- Commitment to ongoing safeguarding/child protection updates
- Passion for education with a driving belief in changing children’s lives
- Strong abilities in communication (parents, colleagues, children, external partners)
- Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving skills
