Deputy Nursery Manager: Roehampton: ASAP / September Start
A welcoming and well-established nursery in Roehampton is seeking an experienced and confident Deputy Nursery Manager to join their leadership team. The position is available on either a 4 or 5 day per week basis, with flexibility for an immediate start or September 2026 start.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Early Years practitioner ready to take the next step into leadership, or an established Deputy Manager looking for a supportive and well-run setting.
The Role
Deputy Nursery Manager Roehampton, South West London
- 4 or 5 days per week available
- ASAP or September 2026 start
- Supporting the Nursery Manager with day-to-day operations
- Leading practice across the setting and supporting staff development
- Ensuring high standards of safeguarding, learning, and care
- Supporting with observations, planning, and EYFS delivery
- Working closely with families and outside professionals where required
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years essential (must be recognised as full and relevant in line with DfE staff-child ratios)
- Previous nursery leadership or senior practitioner experience preferred
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- Confident leading a team and supporting staff performance
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A caring, proactive, and professional approach
