Deputy Nursery Manager - £33k
Location: Wakefield
Hours: 40 hours per week

Role Overview
As Deputy Manager, you will support the outstanding operations of a setting with a Good Ofsted rating. Set in a beautiful building, with a fantastic outdoor space for lots of exciting opportunities. We work towards the best standards of care, environment, education, and customer service. We care about the world around us; we do our best to look after the environment and want this to be something you are passionate about.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Nursery Manager in leading with excellence in our activities, experiences, and education.
- Support an enhanced programme of exciting extracurricular activities and experiences for the children, their families, and the community.
- Have the autonomy to be creative with your own budget but will need some experience of managing these, or an eagerness to learn with lots of support from our experienced team.
- Build fantastic relationships with our families, keeping them fully informed of their children’s progress, through our nursery management system, Famly.co.
- Understand all Microsoft programmes.
Requirements
- Organised, trustworthy, and committed.
- Eagerness to support the Nursery Manager in driving the nursery forward.
- Foundation of knowledge on legislation, ranging from Ofsted SEND, safeguarding, health and safety practices, and the food standards of hygiene to keep our 5-star rating.

Skills and Qualifications

Experience:
- Previous experience in early years leadership (Minimum 1 year).
- Knowledge of Early Years Legislation and Ofsted.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient in using computer software.

Qualifications:
- Essential level 3 in Childcare & Development Qualification as listed on the qualification’s checklist, which can be accessed via the Early year’s qualifications achieved in the United Kingdom - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).
- English GCSE or equivalent and a desire to obtain maths if you don’t already have this.
- Driver desirable.
