At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.
The University Hospital of North Midlands, Mid Cheshire and East Cheshire NHS Trusts work in partnership following the formation of the Pathology Network North Midlands and Cheshire Pathology Service (NMCPS).
We are seeking applications from enthusiastic, highly motivated and confident individuals to join our Phlebotomy team as a Deputy Phlebotomy Manager. 2 positions are available.
About the Role
The successful applicant would be expected to support the Phlebotomy Manager in the delivery of the Phlebotomy service at Royal Stoke Hospital.
The successful applicant will also be expected to provide cover and support across NMCPS sites when required to do so.
Responsibilities
- Support the Phlebotomy Manager in the delivery of the Phlebotomy service at Royal Stoke Hospital.
- Provide cover and support across NMCPS sites when required.
- Provide day-to-day management of the phlebotomy team.
- Deputise for the Phlebotomy Manager and support the phlebotomy supervisor(s).
- Manage a team of phlebotomists to ensure standardised best practices are delivered at all locations.
- Enjoy working with people and possess good communication skills.
- Have attention to detail and basic keyboard skills.
- Have strong IT skills, with experience of data entry and use of Microsoft Office applications.

Requirements
- Experience in all phlebotomy techniques is essential.
- Previous supervisory experience would be considered an advantage.
