Join us in a role where you will be leading and developing people, responsible for developing safety and managing all operational activities within the Siemens Energy Wind Power Port of Hull. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant handling, storage, and movement of wind turbine components, in alignment with SGRE standards, contractual requirements, and project needs. You will be part of a management team who build and maintain a high performing port operations team. Ensuring effective coordination with stakeholders including safety, site logistics, contractors, vessel crews/representatives, and project management.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Operational leadership, lead daily port operations, ensuring safe and timely execution of activities.
- Oversee daily leadership of the port team (Port Operations Leads, Supervisors and Team Leads).
- Ensure port resources (personnel, equipment, tools) are optimally planned and utilised.
- Manage and lead media communications when required.
- Assist Commercial manager with budgetary requirements.
- Ensure adherence to operational guidelines, work instructions, and appropriate documented processes.
- Safety, Quality & Compliance, promote and lead a Zero Harm safety culture.
- Collaborate with HSE manager on port-specific Safety and Quality plans.
- Maintain document control, safety documentation, and port related operational records.
- Manage internal and external reporting requirements.
- Plan, manage and oversea marine operations within the port.
- Interface to the EXE Projects, ensuring accurate component delivery.
- Strategically plan and manage blade storage and delivery, engagement with internal and external stakeholders including factory management, transport management, ABP management and contractors.
- Plan, manage and oversee port ground and infrastructure works.
- Interface to Ops for blade delivery and storage. Attending weekly meetings.
- Interface to the EXE Projects, ensuring accurate component delivery.
- Facilitate progress meetings, daily coordination calls, and operational briefings.
- Maintain effective communication with shipping agents, customs officials, and regulatory authorities.

What You Bring
- Commitment to Zero Harm culture and continuous improvement mindset.
- A degree in a technical or practical field, or relevant maritime qualification including experience in marine or civil environments.
- Strong leadership experience in port operations, industrial logistics, or construction environments.
- Deep understanding of heavy-lift operations, component handling, and storage principles.
- Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
- Excellent understanding of safety, quality and risk management frameworks.
- Technical Skills, knowledge of lifting equipment, port machinery, and associated safety standards.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred), MS Office, documentation control tools.
- Understanding of preassembly workflows and offshore wind component specifications is an advantage.
- Strong communicator with ability to influence and build trust.
- Decisive, structured, and solution oriented.
- High resilience under dynamic operational conditions.
