About The Role

We are seeking a supportive and motivated Deputy Registered Manager to join our team in Greenwich. This role is about making a real difference to people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure people receive right support while meeting CQC standards, funding organisation requirements, and Choice Support’s policies.
  • Deputise for the Registered Manager to lead several support services for individuals with:
    • learning disabilities
    • autism
    • mental health needs
  • Ensure support adapts to individual needs, promoting independence, family connections, and goal achievement.
  • Safeguard health, medication, and finances while fostering trusting relationships with families and professionals.
  • Build a supportive team culture. Lead Team Managers and Support Workers by:
    • developing their skills through training and feedback
    • managing recruitment, inductions, and staffing to ensure service safety
  • Maintain strong communication across teams, acting as a key contact for colleagues, families, and professionals.
  • Handle on-call duties as required.
  • Ensure accurate, person-centred records with prompt action on concerns to uphold safety.

About You

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • At least two years of experience managing multiple social care services or leading care-setting managers.
  • Level 4 qualification in Health and Social Care OR Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or working towards it).
  • Extensive knowledge of:
    • CQC rules and standards
    • key legislation: Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills; proven ability to support others in leading effectively.
  • Experience in managing budgets, staffing, and team/service performance.

Ideal Traits & Skills:

  • Skilled in using systems including:
    • Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
    • care management platforms (Nourish, Zellis MyView, Sona).
  • Organised, meticulous record-keeper with strong sense of documentation and confidentiality.
  • Empathetic, positive, and authentic. Qualities include:
    • active listening
    • strong communication
    • flexibility
  • Eager to advance career, lead a team, and shape new initiatives with meaningful impact.

Location & Hours

  • Based in Greenwich, with responsibilities across localised services. On-site, client locations, and occasional meetings/training required.
  • Full-time (37.5 hours/week) with flexible scheduling to meet service demands (rotas, safe staffing, and on-call duties included).
  • Possible early closure of applications if sufficient candidates apply.
