This is a senior operational management role where you will oversee the day-to-day delivery of security services, lead Supervisors and Officers, and ensure that all operations are effective, compliant, and aligned with site and regulatory requirements.

- Manage Supervisors and Officers, ensuring performance, discipline, and professionalism
- Support workforce planning, rostering, and resource allocation to maintain operational resilience
- Ensure all incidents, reports, and system issues are accurately recorded and reviewed
- Act as the operational lead during out-of-hours periods and in the absence of the Site Protection Manager
Why This Role Matters
- You will play a key role in protecting infrastructure critical to the UK's energy system
- Your leadership will directly impact site security, resilience, and operational continuity
- You will operate in a high-security environment where strong decision-making is essential

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
