Salary & Benefits

£38,000 - £46,000 per annum | 30-35 days’ holiday (pro rata) | 10% in-store discount | Pension scheme

As a Deputy Store Manager, you’ll drive operations with clarity and purpose—whether on the shop floor or behind the scenes. You’ll oversee cash handling, stock management, and team motivation, modelled on Lidl’s company values. You’ll lead when the Store Manager is unavailable, ensuring smooth operations while empowering your team.

What You’ll Do

  • Set a high standard for service as a role model for the team and customers
  • Step into store leadership independently, ensuring seamless operations
  • Foster team cohesion while upholding Lidl’s core values
  • Manage deliveries, monitor KPIs, and ensure financial and stock accuracy
  • Deliver exceptional customer service—one-to-one interaction matters
  • Compliance with Health & Safety policies, maintaining a secure environment

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience in team leadership (fast-paced, dynamic environments)
  • Strong communication skills (approachable, collaborative, and clear)
  • Time management and problem-solving skills—prioritising projects efficiently
  • Confidence in supportive roles—mentoring colleagues across all shifts
  • A customer-first mindset, delivering outstanding service every day
  • Ability to analyse, monitor, and improve performance (KPIs)
