Deputy Support Manager

Thera East Midlands has an exciting opportunity available for a Deputy Support Manager to join our team based in Aston-on-Trent, South Derbyshire. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £31,825.42 per annum.

At Thera East Midlands, we believe people with a learning disability should be leaders in society. We are looking for a Deputy Support Manager to assist the Support Manager in leading teams, to deliver person-centered support that meets regulatory, contractual, and organisational requirements.

As a Deputy Support Manager you will:

  • Mentor teams, coach support staff and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that practice leadership is developed, recognised and reflected in all we do as you work on shift as part of the working rota enabling you to act as a role model of best practice.
  • Support people to design their support plans.
  • Assist with rota management.
  • Help maintain records.
  • Address concerns.
  • Conduct audits.
  • Deputise for the Support Manager when needed.

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant Health and Social Care qualification at Level 3 or above (England) or SCQF 7 or above (Scotland).
  • Proven Experience Supporting People With Learning Disabilities.
  • Leadership or coaching experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and care regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Confidence in using digital systems (e.g. Excel, care planning software).
  • Flexible working hours, willingness to travel locally and work across multiple locations.
