Priory Hospital Barnt Green Full-time role of 37.5 hours a week. £43,014-£46,314.00 dependent on experience At least 18 Months – 2 years’ experience post-registration This role is not suitable for newly qualified nurses or preceptorship nurses.
You will be working on the Private Ward.
We offer mental health support for both adults and young people, including access to specialist therapy and psychiatry. We also provide private autism assessments for adults, helping people better understand themselves and access the right support.
Our brand new hospital conversion allows for access to high-quality, modern facilities within a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere, close to relaxing woodland, to help facilitate recovery and hope. In addition to acres of rolling countryside on all sides of the hospital, each ward has access to south-facing garden areas, meaning you can relax and spend time outdoors.
Priory Barnt Green Hospital B45 8ER. The location is not easily accessible via public transport, with limited direct routes and infrequent services in the surrounding area. As a result, commuting by car or other private transport is likely to be the most practical and reliable option for reaching the site.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients Works as Senior Nurse in a Ward or equivalent area ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, their families and visitors. Apply relevant policies and statutory requirements within the ward and hospital framework of governance and communicates requirements to the wider team. Ensures that risk is assessed and managed across the immediate and wider working environment and that statutory requirements are met. You will join the team on the Privet Ward. In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.

What you'll bring to the role
Essential Hold current professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), along with Mental Health, At least 18 months to 2 years’ experience post-registration Desirable A background in mental health, particularly within a private ward setting, would be highly desirable for this role. Candidates with this experience will bring valuable insights into managing complex and dynamic clinical environments, along with the ability to respond effectively to patients with higher-acuity needs. This experience supports strong clinical decision-making, resilience, and a proactive approach to delivering safe, high-quality care in fast-paced settings.
