Band 6 Deputy Ward Manager - Haematology Ward
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Deputy Ward Manager to join us on the Haematology Ward. We believe our staff are our greatest asset and support our ward team to develop and grow.
Our ideal candidate will be caring, passionate and highly motivated to provide safe, innovative care. In return we will develop you and support you within our specialty. Additional training will be provided in order to enhance your leadership and management skills. You will be well supported by the Unit Manager.
About the Ward
Ward 30 is a 22 bedded unit with a clinic and day unit attached. Staff rotate through the unit.
We treat patients with chemotherapy, as well as other forms of supportive treatment for haematological conditions.
About the Role
We are looking to recruit a clinical leader to deputise for the Ward Manager as required and support with safe delivery of care. You will possess excellent clinical skills, have experience of leading a team and have clinical experience within the specialty. You will be competent in cannulation and venepuncture, the management of vascular access devices and the administration of systemic anti-cancer therapy.

Be a team leader, providing clinical leadership and management support to the ward, developing, and evaluating best practice within the department.
The post holder will deputise for the department manager as required.
