Deputy Ward Manager - INTERNAL
Registered Nurse (Part-Time Secondment) – Morfa Ward, Ysbyty Alltwen

This is a fixed-term / secondment position until 30.09.2026 for cover purposes.

About the Role
Are you a registered nurse with vision, drive, and enthusiasm? The Morfa Ward at Ysbyty Alltwen, a 20-bedded rehabilitation and care ward, is seeking a passionate and proactive professional to join a team committed to delivering high-quality mental health support closer to patients’ homes.
We are looking for a highly motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic Part-Time secondment holder who is driven by continuous improvement in patient care and enjoys developmental opportunities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensuring high standards of evidence-based clinical care are delivered and consistently monitored.
- Supporting a positive learning environment for patients, relatives, and healthcare professionals.
- Overseeing the work of healthcare support workers and registered nurses on the ward.
- Demonstrating excellent clinical skills with a caring attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
Key Requirements
All candidates must:
- Keep up-to-date with new nursing initiatives and interventions.
- Maintain mandatory training compliance (above 85%) at all times.
- Speak Welsh (desirable, but both Welsh and English speakers are welcome to apply).

Essential Criteria
✔ NMC registration (active & in good standing). ✔ Experience as a Band 5 nurse (or currently registered at this level).
Desirable Criteria
✅ Leadership skills. ✅ Additional clinical competencies (meets specific ward needs).
