European Gas Broker – TTF / Energy Derivatives
Location: London, United Kingdom
Contract Type: Permanent
Imperium Commodity Search is confidentially retained by a rapidly expanding global energy brokerage platform to support the launch and build-out of its European Gas desk in London.
Following exceptional growth across US gas markets, the firm is now replicating its proven model within the TTF and wider European natural gas derivatives markets. As part of a structured expansion strategy, we are seeking a small team of 2–3 experienced European Gas Brokers to join concurrently and establish the desk.
This is a rare opportunity to join a growth-stage platform with existing international energy flow and contribute directly to the launch of a European gas franchise.
The Role – European Gas (TTF) Broking
As a European Gas Broker, you will:
- Broker TTF and European natural gas derivatives (futures and options)
- Execute trades on behalf of an international institutional and corporate energy client base
- Develop and maintain relationships with trading houses, utilities, funds and energy market participants
- Provide market colour and pricing insight across European gas markets
- Collaborate with global desks across oil, power, LNG, coal, environmental and carbon markets
- Support cross-sell opportunities between US and European gas teams
- Contribute to the strategic growth and positioning of the London gas desk

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
