We are seeking a qualified and experienced Dermatologist to join our clinics. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert skin assessments, diagnosing and treating a wide range of dermatological conditions, and supporting patients in achieving optimal skin health and confidence., across the south-west of England and Wales, covering Bristol, Cardiff, and Cheltenham.

The role combines medical dermatology with aesthetic practice, requiring a clinician who is passionate about delivering evidence-based treatments for conditions such as acne, rosacea, pigmentation disorders, eczema, psoriasis, scarring, skin ageing, and other skin concerns. The Dermatologist will work closely with the clinic's aesthetic team to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Dermatology

  • Conduct comprehensive skin consultations and assessments.
  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of skin conditions including:
    • Acne and acne scarring
    • Rosacea
    • Eczema and dermatitis
    • Psoriasis
    • Hyperpigmentation and melasma
    • Sun damage and photoaging
    • Hair and scalp disorders
    • Skin infections
    • Benign skin lesions
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on clinical evaluation and patient goals.
  • Prescribe and monitor topical, oral, and procedural treatments as appropriate.

Aesthetic Dermatology

  • Provide guidance on skin rejuvenation and preventative skin health.
  • Work collaboratively with aesthetic practitioners to optimize treatment outcomes.
  • Recommend suitable aesthetic treatments including:
    • Chemical peels
    • Microneedling
    • Laser and light-based therapies
    • Skin boosters
    • Medical-grade skincare programmes
  • Assess patient suitability for cosmetic procedures and ensure safe treatment planning.

Patient Care

  • Deliver exceptional patient-centred care and maintain high standards of professionalism.
  • Educate patients on skin health, treatment options, and ongoing skincare management.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as required.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.

Skin Cancer & Lesion Assessment

  • Assess suspicious skin lesions and provide appropriate management or referral.
  • Perform skin examinations and skin cancer screening where required.
  • Undertake skin biopsies and minor dermatological procedures if appropriately trained.

Clinical Governance & Compliance

  • Adhere to all regulatory, ethical, and clinical governance requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection regulations.
  • Participate in clinical audits, training, and continuous professional development activities.
  • Ensure the highest standards of infection control and patient safety.

Essential Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent).
  • Specialist qualification in Dermatology.
  • Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
  • Experience managing common and complex dermatological conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based dermatological treatments.
  • Excellent consultation, communication, and patient management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
