The Emergency Department includes:
- A dedicated Pediatric treatment and waiting area

- Mostly outpatient and private community services
- Consulting services to inpatients at SMH
- Clinical Faculty appointment with University of British Columbia
- Supervision, mentorship, and teaching to Medical Trainees
