Design and Consultancy Manager

Portfolio Management and process optimization:

• Hosting weekly "Sync" meetings to review the status of all active projects and re-allocating budget or staff as priorities shift.
• Auditing current workflows to remove "red tape," selecting PM software/tools, and updating project templates (charters, Gantt charts, etc.).
• Escalation for high priority risks and issues related to TS, Logistics and Commercial (Sales and Marketing).
• Engage with Senior Management across the business to understand and align on priorities across the Customer Journey with respect to capacity and capability to deliver on an ongoing basis.
• Provide tactical input into the introduction of new products and services.
• Synthesizing complex project data into executive-level dashboards that highlight KPIs, burn rates, and milestone achievements.
• Responsible for project and program management as a product.

Risk Mitigation:

• Facilitating "Pre-Mortems" for high-stakes projects and intervening when a project is at risk of "scope creep" or failure.

Decision making authority:

• Contribute to defining LTT strategy.
• Oversee prioritization of opportunities, projects and tenders with BAs.
• Assign resources appropriate to regional requirements within scope of control.
• Contributing to building commercial proposals.
• Comply and apply Health & Safety, Legislative and Engineering standards to projects (e.g. Construction, Design & Management Regulations, Health & Safety etc).
• Active in developing knowledge and skills of Implementation team.

Your Profile:

Educational Background:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or Master’s in Project Management is highly preferred.

Professional Certification:

• Accreditation for optimisation tools is desirable.

Agile / Lean Proficiency:

• Certification in Agile / Lean methodologies (e.g., CSM - Certified Scrum Master or PMI-ACP) to support modern iterative workflows.

Clean, valid local driving license.

Experience and Knowledge:

• Proven Track Record: Proven track record in a pathology environment and optimisation, with at least 3+ years specifically in a people-management or team-lead capacity.
• Scale & Scope: Experience managing a portfolio of projects with cross-functional teams of 10 or more people.
• Change Management: Demonstrated success in implementing new organizational processes or migrating a team to a new project management methodology.
• Executive Exposure: Experience presenting to and influencing C-suite executives and board-level stakeholders.
• Understanding of healthcare economics/value, ideally in Diagnostics.
• Strategic Resource Planning: The ability to forecast human capital needs and balance workloads to prevent burnout while meeting deadlines.
• Conflict Resolution & Negotiation: Navigating "turf wars" between departments and negotiating for budget or personnel when resources are scarce.
• Systems Thinking: The ability to see how a delay in one project creates a "domino effect" across the entire company ecosystem.
• Emotional Intelligence (EQ): High levels of empathy and situational awareness to mentor diverse personalities and maintain team morale during "crunch" periods.
• Decisiveness: The courage to "kill" a failing project or pivot a team’s direction quickly based on shifting market data.
• Values: Demonstrates Integrity, Courage and Passion.
