This role is a full time, permanent role working 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday from our Abingdon office (OX14 1RL).
What You’ll Be Doing
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor and develop the Design & Estimating team, ensuring effective workload planning, performance management, capability development and succession planning.
Operational Performance & Resource Management
- Manage departmental capacity, workload allocation and priorities to ensure delivery of accurate, timely and commercially viable design and estimating outputs.
Technical & Commercial Governance
- Establish, maintain and monitor standards, processes and controls to ensure designs, estimates and proposals are compliant, accurate and commercially robust.
Bid & Tender Leadership
- Oversee the preparation and review of major bids and tenders, providing strategic direction and challenge to maximise quality, competitiveness and win rates.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, Procurement and Project Delivery teams to improve communication, remove barriers and ensure successful project handover and execution.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Develop and manage KPIs, forecasting, pipeline visibility and management reporting to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
Supply Chain & Commercial Management
- Build strategic supplier relationships and support procurement activities to improve commercial outcomes, consistency and supply chain performance.
