The Role:

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Print & Design Assistant to come and join the team. If you love trend, pattern and colour then this is the role for you. We are looking for someone who is organised, conscientious and motivated.

You will work with a team of experienced print and graphic designers who will coach and mentor you to develop your print design skills. You will have a good eye for colour, colour combinations and demonstrate a good understanding of print and pattern design.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Creating colour palettes for the business - using Pantone and Coloro systems with support of print & colour manager.
  • General Design Admin
  • Designing prints for specific departments with the guidance of your line manager
  • Creating production ready specs for prints and graphics with guidance of line manager.
  • Bought sample management
  • Managing daily /weekly tasks in line with ways of working
  • Preparation for Departmental Meetings
  • General colour and print trend research on relevant websites and social.
  • Demonstrating on-going familiarity of the competitors’ product ranges
  • Reacting quickly to new trends
  • Assisting in the production of trend packs and catwalk presentations
  • Working across multiple range periods at one time, short-lead and long-lead
  • An understanding of the New Look Customer
  • Basic understanding of our Customer Insight and Market Share
  • Basic understanding of supplier routes in terms of countries and lead times

Who you are:

  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design)
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong drawing skills - hand drawing & CAD
  • Fashion/ Textile Qualification / Degree desirable
  • Previous work experience / placement in a Design team is preferable
  • Superb organization skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Positive role model and supportive of team and peers
  • Confident and clear communicator
  • Strong accuracy
  • Team player
  • Resilient
  • Good time management
