Design Expert
Role Summary
Evaluate the quality of real-world design work by developing task-specific grading criteria and scoring completed samples with rigorous, written justifications serving as a calibrated expert reviewer rather than a producer.
Deliverables
- Design precise, task-specific grading rubrics for deliverables spanning brand identity, campaign visuals, layout, packaging, and digital assets
- Score work samples against established criteria with detailed, evidence-based written justifications for every rating
- Apply consistent evaluative judgment to ensure scores are reproducible and defensible across reviewers
- Incorporate structured feedback from senior reviewers and iterate rapidly on criteria and scoring approaches
- Maintain clear documentation of reasoning to support calibration and peer review processes

Requirements
- Demonstrated professional expertise in graphic, brand, or visual design
- Deep craft knowledge across typography, layout, visual hierarchy, color, composition, and brand systems
- Ability to articulate design critique clearly and precisely in writing, at the level of a design lead
- Proven track record of consistent, detail-oriented judgment in a professional design context

- Compensation: $80 - $150 per hour
