Your New Role

As Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of heavy equipment products. Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering innovative and cost-effective design solutions from concept through to production.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software
  • Supporting new product development and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Liaising with manufacturing, production, and supply chain teams to ensure design feasibility
  • Conducting design calculations and analysis to validate performance and safety requirements
  • Managing design changes and maintaining accurate engineering documentation
  • Supporting prototype builds and testing activities

What You'll Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience in product design within a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach

Desirable:

  • Experience with FEA or design analysis tools
  • Knowledge of fabrication, hydraulics, or heavy machinery design
