Your New Role
As Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of heavy equipment products. Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering innovative and cost-effective design solutions from concept through to production.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Producing 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software
- Supporting new product development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Liaising with manufacturing, production, and supply chain teams to ensure design feasibility
- Conducting design calculations and analysis to validate performance and safety requirements
- Managing design changes and maintaining accurate engineering documentation
- Supporting prototype builds and testing activities

What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in product design within a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach
Desirable:
- Experience with FEA or design analysis tools
- Knowledge of fabrication, hydraulics, or heavy machinery design
