Job Overview
As a Design Engineer at MasterMover, you'll be an integral part of our existing product team, focused on enhancing the design, performance, and manufacturability of our current range of machines. This role is about more than just drawing up designs—it's about driving real, measurable improvements that benefit our business, our customers, and our team on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality mechanical design improvements to existing product lines
- Support and lead engineering-based continuous improvement (CI) initiatives across the full standard product portfolio
- Collaborate with Purchasing to identify and implement cost-saving design changes
- Assist with prototyping, field testing, and creating engineering documentation
- Get hands-on, gathering real-world feedback from production and operators
Requirements
- A degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or a related discipline
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidEdge, SolidWorks or similar)
- A strong foundation in mechanical engineering design principles
- Understanding of sheet metal, machined parts, and fabrication processes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- An understanding of DFM/DFA and a genuine interest in cost-effective, user-centred design
- A methodical approach to problem-solving and product improvement
- Excellent attention to detail, clear documentation skills, and a passion for delivering robust solutions
- A team-oriented, can-do mindset, happy to collaborate and take initiative
