Role Description

The Design Engineer will work full-time in a hybrid arrangement based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with the flexibility to perform some tasks from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

The role involves supporting mechanical and process design activities for projects across oil and gas, food, and related industries, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client requirements. The Design Engineer will participate in design reviews, troubleshoot engineering issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of design workflows and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Design Engineering and Product Design, with the ability to translate requirements into practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering principles, including materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
  • Understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts relevant to integrated mechanical–electrical systems is beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in process, thermal, or mechanical design for industrial applications (oil and gas, food, or similar sectors) is an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Effective communication skills and proven ability to work within multidisciplinary teams in a hybrid work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to meeting deadlines with high-quality deliverables.
