Design Engineer - Studio Team
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Design Engineer - Studio Team based in United Kingdom.
As a Design Engineer, you will help shape the user experience of a cutting-edge digital product by combining design expertise with front-end engineering skills. Working at the intersection of product design and software development, you will transform ideas into intuitive, visually engaging, and high-performing user experiences. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, influence product direction, and contribute throughout the entire feature lifecycle—from concept and design to implementation and continuous improvement. If you enjoy crafting polished interfaces, solving complex UX challenges, and building products that reach millions of users, this position offers an exciting environment for growth and impact.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and refine user-facing features from initial concept through implementation and release.
- Create intuitive, visually appealing user interfaces while ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
- Develop front-end functionality and business logic to support new features and enhance existing capabilities.
- Continuously iterate on product experiences to improve user engagement, adoption, and conversion.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Customer Support, and Engineering teams to define requirements and shape product direction.
- Participate in code reviews by providing and receiving constructive feedback to maintain high engineering standards.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies, design trends, and development best practices to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Contribute to a collaborative, agile development environment with a strong focus on quality and user satisfaction.

Requirements
- Strong understanding of user experience (UX) design principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail with a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
- Proficiency with Figma or similar interface design and prototyping tools.
- Strong portfolio showcasing user interface design and product development projects.
- Solid experience with JavaScript, React, and at least one React state management solution.
- Experience working with TypeScript and modern front-end development workflows.
- Familiarity with technologies and tools such as MobX, AWS, and continuous deployment environments.
- Ability to bridge design and engineering by translating design concepts into production-ready interfaces.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Self-motivated, analytical, and comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
- Passion for building innovative digital products and continuously improving the user experience.
