Life on the team

Join Computacenter’s highly successful Smart Infrastructure team in a key role supporting large-scale customer projects across the UK. You’ll work closely with Solution Specialists, Account Teams, and strategic partners to shape compliant, commercially sound designs across structured cabling and smart building technologies.

This is a visible role with the opportunity to influence bids, support major tenders, and contribute to high-value infrastructure programmes.

What you'll do

  • Produce accurate design estimates and bid responses for structured cabling, racks, PDUs, containment, WiFi, CCTV, and AV/MTR solutions
  • Support account teams with solution design, pricing, and customer engagement
  • Ensure bids are delivered using best practice (BICSI and manufacturer guidelines)
  • Create handover packs, cabling schedules, wall elevations, schematics, and installation documentation
  • Own and refine cost models, applying value engineering to maximise margin
  • Provide technical governance, risk management, and commercial assurance across opportunities
  • Support customer presentations and mid/post-bid discussions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
