Design Manager

London | Commercial Fit-Out D&B

Some Design Manager roles are all about checking drawings. This isn't one of them.

This is an opportunity to join one of London's leading workplace design & build contractors, taking ownership of the technical design process on high-profile commercial fit out projects from concept through to completion.

You'll be the person who bridges creative ambition with technical reality, ensuring great ideas become exceptional workplaces without compromising quality, programme or budget. This is a business where Design Managers are trusted to lead, not simply coordinate.

The Opportunity:

  • Working alongside talented designers, pre-construction, commercial and delivery teams, you'll take ownership of the technical design process across a portfolio of high-quality workplace projects.
  • You'll lead technical coordination, manage external consultants, solve complex design challenges and ensure every scheme is fully detailed, compliant and ready for construction.
  • Rather than simply reviewing information, you'll actively shape technical solutions, influence project outcomes and play a key role in how projects are delivered.
  • Alongside project delivery, you'll mentor junior team members, champion best practice and help continually improve technical standards across the wider design function.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
