About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Design Manager to join our client's team and lead the design delivery of a significant multi-phase residential development in the Thanet District. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a high-quality housing scheme from pre-construction through to completion.

Working closely with the project team, consultants, local authorities, and subcontractors, you will ensure the design process is effectively coordinated, technically compliant, and delivered in line with programme, budget, and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the design process across all phases of the development.
  • Lead design team meetings and drive design progress to meet project milestones.
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, planning consultants, and specialist designers.
  • Review and manage design information to ensure buildability, cost efficiency, and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Monitor design programmes and identify potential risks, proposing practical solutions where necessary.
  • Liaise with the commercial, construction, and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of design and delivery.
  • Manage design changes, technical queries, and document control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with current Building Regulations, planning conditions, and relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Support procurement by reviewing subcontractor design proposals and technical submissions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
