Design Manager - Eastern North Team
Location: Waterbeach, Cambridge
Hours: Full Time, permanent
Our Cambridgeshire regional business has an exceptional track record in the delivery of projects across DfE, Healthcare, MOD, MOJ, Leisure, Higher Education, and Heritage. As our Design Manager, you'll lead as the subject matter expert on assigned projects, with the opportunity to shape design management across our exciting pipeline of work.

What will you be responsible for?
As a Design Manager, you'll be working within the Head of Design Team, supporting them in delivering exceptional design outcomes across our diverse project portfolio. Your day-to-day will include:
- Managing and delivering design information in accordance with agreed programmes and schedules
- Ensuring appointed design consultants comply with standards and briefs, while mitigating design-related risks
- Leading design input at both preconstruction and construction stages of projects
- Chairing design meetings, producing reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Creating design programmes, scopes, responsibility matrices and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and sustainable building standards

What are we looking for?
This role of Design Manager is great for you if:
- You have demonstrable experience in a design role within a main contractor environment
- You hold a relevant construction qualification (Degree/HND or equivalent) in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or similar
- You have experience of BIM level 2 projects, including COBie data
- You possess excellent attention to detail and strong stakeholder management capabilities
- You hold a Full driving licence
