Assistant Design Manager and Design Manager

London | £40,000 to £75,000 + Package (DOE)

Are you looking to develop your career with a specialist consultancy that works alongside some of London's leading main contractors on high profile construction projects?

I'm working with an exciting design consultancy that has forged an excellent reputation for providing design management expertise on projects across London.

Due to continued growth and several new project wins, they're looking to appoint both an Assistant Design Manager and a Design Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the variety of working across complex construction projects while benefiting from the support and development of an experienced design management team.

The Role

You'll be embedded within major construction projects, working closely with leading main contractors while remaining part of a specialist design management consultancy. Most team members typically support two live projects, giving you exposure to a broad range of schemes and clients.

Projects are generally based in London and include:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
