Manager Global Design Strategies, Lifestyle Brands | Windsor, UK
Trend hunter. Creative strategist. Hospitality designer.
If you know how to turn thoughtful design and soulful atmosphere into a strategic brand advantage, we would like to speak with you.
Kimpton, Vignette Collection and Hotel Indigo are three of the most characterful brands in the IHG Hotels & Resorts luxury and lifestyle portfolio. Each one is defined by individual expression and distinct personality: design that feels rooted in its neighbourhood, local social culture and human-centric connections, making each hotel a market leader within each destination. This role ensures that our brands retain their unique design position and stylistic point of view as they grow in scale across the globe.
As Manager of Global Design Strategies, you will be the creative coordinator behind all three brands—turning operational insights, market trends and competitive intelligence into inspirational design, practical style tools and brand-defining atmosphere programmes that keep IHG at the leading edge of lifestyle and boutique hospitality.
Reporting to the Global Head of Design Strategies, Luxury & Lifestyle Brands, this role will work cross-functionally at the global level to bring our design and style strategies to life.
What you'll do
- Lead the development and implementation of global brand design strategy initiatives across Kimpton, Vignette Collection and Hotel Indigo.
- Oversee new design concepts, style prototypes and commercial pilots, working with external consultants on Design Strategies and Signatures, including style and atmosphere toolkits.
- Work with internal stakeholders to manage brand alignment within global brand initiatives and evolution requirements.
- Own the colleague attire and OS&E design programmes for each brand, coordinating with operational brand standards and cost impact for our hotels.
- Keep brand toolkits and playbooks current, socializing with regional and hotel teams, ensuring embedment and guest experience impact with optimal results.
- Coordinate category-level bedding and amenities projects for each brand, in coordination with the brand teams and guest shared services team.
- Support the development of brand films and presentation materials for growth and brand immersion opportunities.
- Manage project budgets and agency contracts.
- A champion for human-centric design, inclusive design and accessibility.
- Manage all internal communications and relationships across operations, F+B, development, guest shared services, procurement and brand standards teams globally.
- Meet regularly with brand leaders and senior leaders, reporting on the strategic initiative.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
